This workshop will teach you how to use Adobe Acrobat to create simple and accessible PDF files from single files, multiple files, and directly from your scanner. You will also learn how to create forms in Acrobat so that you can collect important information on-line. This workshop will teach you to use Acrobat as an interactive presentation tool - imagine creating 'librarian-approved' content guides (ex. an electronic guide to poetry) that are interactive, informative, and portable! Podcasts are fairly simple to produce and distribute to subscribers. This series of ten one-day workshops covers project management, copyright and intellectual property rights, scanning, metadata, preservation of digital objects, sustainability and maintenance of digital projects, and promotion and use of digital collections. This series is co-sponsored by SCRLC (South Central Regional Library Council) and CLRC (Central NY Library Resources Council) and supported in part by Federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

This series of five training events addresses issues related to Web 2.0 and how it will play out in what is called Library 2.0. Topics will include social networking tools, assessment, growing library staff, and cataloging options.
