Maintaining Your Computer

Take a deep breath...What this class covers
Everyone who uses a computer should be able to:
  • install and remove software
  • attach a mouse, modem, printer, or other peripheral
  • scan the hard drive
  • defragment the hard drive
  • change the screen colors and settings
  • troubleshoot basic problems
Prerequisites
To take this class, you should have a good working knowledge of Windows 95 or 98. You should be able to boot and shut down your computer, use the mouse, and understand the basic layout of the Windows 95/98 screen. You should know where the Start button is, and how to use the Start menu.
