PLAN OF SERVICE, 2006-2011

Yes, we do have to do some planning for what we will be doing in 2011. We are required to develop a five year Plan of Service to be submitted to the Division of Library Development at the State Library. An online version of this was submitted early in April, but a more useful printed version is also under development for use in our region and will be available by June.

This group was very helpful in providing input, helping with a membership survey, and helping to confirm various observations about the current environment in which libraries must function. The Board of Trustees also held two retreats to work on setting priorities and these are reflected in the plan. Key priorities will be resource sharing, education and training, and advocacy.
