We were saddened to learn of the death of Dan Kissane, Reference and Instruction Librarian at SUNY College at Oneonta. He will be missed.

We were very sorry to hear that Eileen Deemie, long time librarian at IBM Endicott lately named Huron Real Estate Associates, lost her job recently and the library was closed down. This library had been a member of the Council since 1970 and Eileen has been a faithful friend of the Council for many years. We will miss you Eileen but hope that some good luck comes your way soon.

We are pleased to hear that Frank McBride who retired from Alfred University in the summer, is now Director of the Whitesboro Public Library in the Mid York Public Library System. (JC)
